About Identity Stories

Seeing yourself in media matters. This project’s goal is to help more people see themselves in photographs and showcase identities through storytelling. Those invited to participate in this project are those belonging to the LGBTQ2S+ and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Colour) Community.

The theme for this project is "Identity" and this can mean many things- participants are asked to share a story about a time they fully embraced their identity and how proud or powerful that made them feel. They are invited to tell me about an experience that helped them step fully into who they are.

We then work together on taking photos that showcase who they are and the stories are told alongside these photographs. The photos and stories will be shared here on this website as well as on social media.
