I met Rachel in 2018, a few months after I had started my business. I ran up to her and introduced myself and told her how it was my dream to get personal branding photos done by her. At the time, the dream seemed so far away -- I was seriously bootstrapping in my early entrepreneurship and investing every dollar back into supplies. Three years later, I had the honour to finally get to work with Rachel, and the investment was 1000% worth it. Her expertise + skills are clear -- she is SO GOOD at what she does. Beyond that, though, she is a genuinely kind human being, someone who strives to ensure her clients feel safe and supported throughout the entire process, and someone who truly SEES you. I felt so cared for and pampered the whole day -- first with the professional hair and makeup by Humna, then when I arrived at the beautiful natural-light studio where Rachel had already taken all of my clothing and set them up on hangers, and then of course throughout the photo-taking process (which included breaks for fruit and sparkling water). The makeup, by the way, I was a little nervous about, since I wear makeup approximately once every three years for very special events only -- so it was really important to me that the makeup was natural and still looked like ME. And it did! Another fear I had was that I wasn't going to know what to do with my face/hands/body -- I didn't want to look awkward. This was not a worry at all during my photoshoot with Rachel. She is a great director, and told me exactly where to put my hands, coached me the entire way through and helped me relax. All that to say that Rachel is an incredibly thoughtful and intentional photographer. She really puts her heart into her craft, and a ton of planning behind the scenes as well, and it shows. I'd recommend her to anyone who wants professional personal branding photos that truly reflect them. I am so grateful to have had this experience. Thank you Rachel!!!
